About Us

Kaye Laine is an actor and comedian based in the state of California. Kaye discovered her love of performing at a very young age while growing up in Oregon. She performed in many theatrical plays and musicals while attending grammar school and continued throughout high school. She did not stop there. After graduating, Kaye tried her hand in acting in commercials, and singing in an acapella group called the Willamette Sound. There she sang and danced with a group of women in musical satire and cabarets.

At the age of 24, Ms. Laine moved to California to start a new adventure. Between raising kids, and graduating from CSU San Bernardino, she found time to be part of a dance company, model, design fashion, and to continue back into her career in acting. Before Kaye performed as a background actor and a stand-in, she is known for her role as Mrs. Trosper in the Kevin Sorbo film One More Round. Laine has had the opportunity to work at many studios such as Sony, Warner Brothers, Fox Studios, Universal on several television and film productions. She was featured on the New Girl in season seven as the angry mother, and has had the honor of working on many other shows. While working at these studios, Kaye has had the honor of working with a number of actors and a few comedians, such as Joan Cusak and Tig Notaro as their Stand-ins. In doing so, she has learned what it takes to create a great feature and is also a member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists).

Kaye has taken a variety of acting classes to help her improve her performance. She has studied the Meisner technique in acting classes in the Los Angeles area, and has been part of the Actors Lab of Palm Springs. Kaye also studied the art of stand up comedy, to enhance her stage performance. With her own writing combined with classes, she has taken this skill to the stage and has performed at a number of places which include The Ha Ha Club, Sal’s, the Fourth Wall, The Hollywood Comedy, etc.

Ms. Laine is alway continuing her knowledge in the entertainment industry. She has had the opportunity to be an executive producer for three short films and learned the breakdown of what it takes to put a great crew together, along with the financial aspects. This includes auditioning actors, hiring a great writer, make-up artists, and collaborating with a film crew, along with acting in the production.

Kaye Laine’s education in entertainment does not stop there. There are a handful of entities that make up this industry that she has dipped her fingers into. Kaye has modeled for lookbooks, catalogs, magazines, competitions, and runway shows, and a number of other events. She did this to study the structure of creating a fashion line of her own at one time. Her fashion has been on the red carpet at several events worn by celebrities, such as Charlene Tilton. Ms. Laine also took a few courses in radio, and was a disc jockey for a short period of time. There she put together and shared an array of music to show women’s empowerment. Film, fashion, and music are entities that intertwine to create the entertainment industry. You truly can’t have one without the other, and that’s what Kaye Laine is all about.
